THE ROLE OF A PROTECTION DOG
Many people have different ideas about what a Protection Dog actually is. To put it definitively, the role of a good Protection Dog is to be a healthy, safe and well-socialized Personal and/or Family companion that, if and when the need ever arises, can and will be appropriately activated to deter and, if necessary, engage with a Threat.
At AlpinHaus Shepherds we work with German Shepherds, Belgian Shepherds (Belgian Malinois) and Dutch Shepherds.
Our Personal and Family Protection Dogs currently available are drawn from specific European lines of FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale) Dutch Shepherds
Each of AlpinHaus Shepherds Protection Dogs are incredibly special. Very few are produced. While we will work with adult dogs when extremely exceptional ones become available, our approach has been to create our Dogs from the time they are puppies. AlpinHaus Protection Dogs are raised in the home here at the confluence of the Swiss, Italian and French Alps. They are fed a biologically appropriate, raw food diet. They are all very social, very sweet and incredibly loving, each with their own highly engaging and idiosyncratic personalities.
AlpinHaus Protection Dogs are designed to work with Individuals, Families and the Personal Security Apparatus of Families or Individuals. All of our Protection Dogs have ON and OFF switches. No one that meets them ever thinks that they are Protection Dogs. You will discover that at AlpinHaus we create the most Sophisticated Protection Dogs in the world. This is because we train at the highest levels of Obedience, Socialization and Protection, and then weave all three disciplines together like three strands of DNA to produce what ultimately becomes an AlpinHaus Personal or Family Protection Dog.
